Per Baseball America, the Mets Released:

RHP’s Ty Williams, Bryce Beeler, Jimmy Duff and Dillon Becker


Mets have signed Outfielder Desmond Jennings to a minor league deal. According to Betsy Helfand, Triple-A Manager Pedro Lopez states he’ll play all three outfield positions and play around four games a week.

Another day, another mock. Almost a month ago now, Minor League Madhouse released their Mock Draft 3.0. They have the Mets taking a two-way talent in Nick Pratto with the 20th overall pick.

Chris Flexen Undergoes Knee Surgery, 2 Signings

Chris Flexen underwent arthroscopic knee surgery recently according to’s Anthony Dicomo. According to the report, Flexen had a bone chip in his knee that was causing swelling and discomfort during camp, as he was scratched from two games.

It’s Happening: Spring Training Game Recap 2/24/17

Today we rose from hibernation, opened our windows to the beautiful 70 degree day in Queens and shaved our winter beards. The long winter is over and baseball is officially unofficially back, as the Mets opened Grapefruit League play at Fenway Park South against the Red Sox in a rematch of the 1986 World Series and a preview of the 2017 World Series.
